A little about me...
Cheryl is a native of Evansville, Indiana, a graduate of Evansville North High School, product of the EVSC/PEF Summer Musical program, past recipient of the ACSI Young Performing Artist of the Year award, and ACSI Arts Educator nominee. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre performance from Webster Conservatory and has been working professionally across the country as a singer, dancer, actress, and choreographer since 2001.
She has appeared as Tracy Turnblad in the hit musical Hairspray at The Little Theatre on the Square, and Wendy Jo in the 3 time Kevin Kline award winning production of Footloose at Stages St. Louis. Other favorite roles include Sarraghina in Nine and The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical the Musical (TLTOTS), Lucy in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Ozark Actor’s Theatre), and Anytime Annie in 42nd Street (Browning Mainstage Theatre). Cheryl Ann finished an 8 year run with Cirque du Soleil in their production of La Nouba in 2017. And can now be seen on select nights in their new production of Drawn to Life at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida.
Her choreography has been seen all over southern Indiana stages such as Signature School, Central High School, North High School, Castle High School, Reitz High School, Princeton Community High School, Evansville Civic Theatre, University of Southern Indiana Theatre, and the Gibson County Summer Musical program. She has also worked with Youth First, staging their style shows, and choreographed numbers for the Evansville ARC Really Big Show. Cheryl is a former faculty member at Signature School and the University of Southern Indiana.
Now, a resident of Orlando, Florida, Cheryl and her choreography have been featured in showcases with Cirque du Soleil & Orlando Ballet. She's been a guest instructor for the Orlando Ballet School's summer intensive programs, and has worked with the Cirque du Monde organization, Truthful Acting Studios, Central Florida Commuinity Arts, and Valencia College giving workshops in character movement, story telling, and dance. Cheryl has been busy working with Cirque du Soleil Casting and as a guest instructor for masterclasses at numerous universities , dance conventions, performing arts schools around the country, and even the WWE NXT! She also went international by being invited to teach for an entire week at the 4th Festival Internacional de las Artes Escenicas UANL 2016 in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico.
She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and certified makeup artist with MAC Cosmetics.
